Big sigh of relief. That seemed to work and now have decent permalink structure.

Ok, now let me see if I can tweak the permalink structure.  Last year on the 106 site it broke the site!

Installed and activated gravatar plugin, then when commented it added a second gravatar to one already appearing there.  Deactivated plugin and only one gravatar appearing with previous comments.  Will try new comment attached to this post and see what happens.
